Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan from Samui

A speedboat day from Samui: snorkelling at Hin Wong Bay or Lighthouse Bay on Koh Tao, lunch on Koh Tao, then Koh Nang Yuan, where a short hike leads to the viewpoint over the sandbar joining three islets. Pickup 7:30 to 8:30 from most of the island. On a training week: a full day on a speedboat with two snorkelling stops and a short, steep hike to the viewpoint, so keep it for your rest day. The open-sea crossing can be bumpy. Salt water stings fresh cuts on the shins; take a rash vest. From the camps: pickup between 7:30 and 8:30 covers most of Samui, where the Samui camps on our list are. If you train on Koh Tao itself, the island has its own camps on our list and Nang Yuan is a short boat ride away.
