Chiang Mai Night Safari

A night zoo at the foot of Doi Suthep where open trams run through savanna and predator zones after dark, with a lakeside walking trail and animal shows. The evening tram is the reason to go, so it fits after the afternoon training session. On a training week: the tram rides are seated and the walking trail is short, so it works after the afternoon session or on a rest day. It runs late into the evening, so plan an easy next morning if your camp starts early. From the camps: the park is in Hang Dong, about 20 to 25 minutes by car from the old city of Chiang Mai, and close to the Hang Dong camp on our list.
