A small national park in Ao Luek with clear spring-fed pools under the forest at the headquarters, plus mangrove channels and sea caves such as Tham Phi Hua To with prehistoric paintings, usually visited by kayak. A quieter alternative to the Ao Nang island boats. On a training week: walking around the pools is easy; the kayak trips through the mangroves work the shoulders and arms for a couple of hours, so it suits a rest day after a hard leg day rather than the day before sparring. The spring water is fresh, so cuts are not a worry. From the camps: the park is in Ao Luek, about 45 minutes to an hour by car from Ao Nang, where most of the Krabi camps on our list are.
